Analysis of of an investment that particularly focuses on statistics, trends and forecasts provided by historical numbers generated by the company or particular investment.

There are many forms of quantitative analysis used in the investment, insurance and business world. While certain trends may emerge through the use of quantitative analysis, there are many risks in its exclusive use.
Pay Special Attention To :
Be careful to not rely on quantitative analysis in a vacuum. It is important to think about what the data sets are telling you, to guard against data mining bias, and to ensure that you apply good business principles and knowledge to each situation in combination with the numbers.
