Definition
This is simply the ratio of postive returns to negative returns over time.
Using the term Gain-to-Loss Ratio :
Before investing, the hedge fund of funds analysts likes to check the gain-to-loss ratio over time.
Pay Special Attention To :
This may be something that analysts like to check, but ultimately "past performance does not guarentee future results" and this ratio is all about looking to the past.
