Adult Day Care
Definition
This is care meant to meet the needs of elders that can no longer be left at home alone during the day. These are often set in a community setting and offer rehabilitative services and social activities.
Using the term Adult Day Care :
When an elderly person can no longer be left alone during the day, i.e have trouble performing the Activities of Daily Living , then utilization of an Adult Day Care center is an option in some communities.
Pay Special Attention To :
The qualities of these centers varies, as does the cost, so ensure that the center meets the levels of care that you feel comfortable with.
